Aaron is hands down the best QB in the league...he is awesome on and off the field...Something like this comes from his heart, nobody told him he had to do this...he WANTED to and that means alot!!! GO PACK GO

This is a great example for some of the younger players too. Talk about veteran leadership. This is an awesome story.

I'll add my sense of pride to the others here. No doubt there are other good men in the game, and some of them quietly do things like this. But this is OUR quarterback and gestures like this make it very easy for us to cheer for him.
The notion of "Packer People" that Thompson holds as a standard isn't a joke, isn't a myth. We do have men on our team that give back selflessly - Greg Jennings, James Jones, Clay Matthews, Charles Woodson, Nick Collins, Donald Driver, etc.
I wonder if another team is so stacked with so many true winners at life.

Ten years ago or so, I used to coach basketball at the East Side Boys & Girls Club on University Ave. What most of those kids really needed most was a little positive attention and positive role models. It looks like our current QB is doing his best to provide both. He may not realize it, but he's also showing those kids that you don't do these type of things to be noticed, you do them because they're the right things to do! Our former QB also worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs. But the difference is, anytime he showed up or did anything with the club, a camera crew from each of the local TV stations was sure to be there and the story was the lead video in sports...sometimes it led the whole newscast. I was always told that character was best defined by who you are when no one is looking. I also think this quote applies, “You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.” James D. Miles.

2009 .... 2010 .... Really don't see what difference it makes ..... It still happened ..... I don't remember hearing about it, until now ......

But, what do you expect from someone who thinks GB's running game is "fine as is" ...... LOL.

Who cares if it was 2009 or 2010? I think the fact that if happened last year and is only coming to light now just underscores the fact he did it for the right reasons and not attention. And although we all know that CheeseheadTV is the center of the Packer universe, if Rodgers decides to do the same thing again this year that the kids would still be surprised. Or that Rodgers still couldnt pull of some surprise holiday charity event, or maybe pull off some other surprise charity event. I am sure there is probably a few charitable things Rodgers and other packers players are involved in that never really get known.
