A Great Perspective

Lee Remmel is a true Packer Legend, in every sense of the word. And his career trajectory is every Packer bloggers dream. (Start out covering the team, become a well respected voice when it comes to the Green and Gold, and then have the Packers offer you the job of Head of PR. Brilliant.)

Remmel has one of the greatest quotes I've ever read regarding the Packer-Bear rivalry. (It comes courtesy of a great piece from Sunday's New York Times. Read the whole thing, it's a pleasure.)

Remmel says:

I don’t despise the Bears, I respect the Bears...They are one-half of what I consider the greatest rivalry in professional sports.

That, dear readers, is called class.

I can never forget how much I despised Joe Fortunato and Bill George. They were evil.

In theory, it's an admirable position. In practice, no way.
