Elevating him makes some sense if they don't want to play Ballentine on STs but Ballentine isn't that big on STs having played just 18 snaps there this year. He is an ILB and Campbell is out, but Welch as a UDFA hasn't played much on defense so he'd truly be last ditch if he had to play ILB.

Many sacks are because there is no presnap motion and because every time Love is looking around too long - weak play calling. I would like to see a snap clock. Lafleur is a brutal play caller and has been so far this year in ALL 3 games. Took 3 quarters last game and the Atlanta game was brutal and anybody can beat the Bears. When you have a weak Oline - you of course keep the mobile QB in the pocket looking around.
